Tree Stump Removal

Digging out and removing stumps and major roots left after trees are felled or cleared.

About Tree Stump Removal

Tree Stump Removal

Stumps can block building, ploughing and fencing, and left alone they may regrow or attract termites. We remove them by excavator or manual digging and fill the resulting holes with suitable material so the ground is usable.

What we do

  • Inspection of stump sizes and root spread
  • Excavation around and under each stump
  • Extraction of stumps and large roots using plant or manual methods
  • Backfilling and compaction of stump holes
  • Removal or stacking of the stumps and roots
  • Check for pipes, cables and foundations before digging

What we need from you to quote

  • Number of stumps and their approximate diameters
  • Whether the area will be built on, ploughed or planted afterwards
  • Location of any underground pipes, cables or septic tanks
  • Access for an excavator or other machine
  • Where stumps and roots should be taken or stacked
  • Ground conditions such as rocky, wet or clay soil
