Topsoil Stripping and Stockpiling

Careful removal and storage of fertile topsoil before construction, so it can be reused for landscaping or farming.

About Topsoil Stripping and Stockpiling

Topsoil Stripping and Stockpiling

Topsoil is valuable and is easily lost or buried during building work. We strip it from the building footprint and work areas, heap it in a stable stockpile away from traffic and water flow, and respread it when the project needs landscaping or planting.

What we do

  • Marking of the areas to be stripped
  • Stripping of topsoil to an agreed, consistent depth
  • Formation of stockpiles in a stable, drained location
  • Protection of stockpiles from erosion and contamination
  • Respreading of topsoil on finished areas when required
  • Disposal or relocation of surplus topsoil if needed

What we need from you to quote

  • Area to be stripped and approximate topsoil depth
  • Where the stockpile can be placed on site
  • Whether the topsoil is to be reused on site, sold or removed
  • Programme of the main construction works
  • Slopes and drainage lines near the proposed stockpile
  • Access for plant and trucks
