Fibre Trenching and Duct Laying

Excavation and duct laying for optical fibre and cable routes, with proper depth, markers and reinstatement.

About Fibre Trenching and Duct Laying

Fibre Trenching and Duct Laying

Underground ducts protect fibre cables for decades. We excavate trenches or use directional drilling where suitable, lay and join ducts, place warning tape and marker posts, build handholes and reinstate the surface, ready for the fibre to be blown or pulled in by your network team or contractor.

What we do

  • Route survey and setting out
  • Trenching or directional drilling to the specified depth
  • Duct laying, jointing and pressure testing where required
  • Warning tape, markers and handholes or chambers
  • Backfilling, compaction and surface reinstatement
  • As-built route records

What we need from you to quote

  • Route start and end points and total length
  • Road, path or private land the route crosses, and the wayleave or permit situation
  • Duct type, size and number of ways required
  • Ground type and the surface to be reinstated
  • Locations of existing services or crossings
  • Fibre installer or network operator you are working with
