Ploughing Services

Tractor ploughing of farmland to break and turn the soil ready for planting.

About Ploughing Services

Ploughing Services

We plough fields by the acre using tractor-drawn disc or mouldboard ploughs, opening the soil to the depth suited to your crop. Ploughing is best timed just before or at the start of the rains, and fields should be cleared of stumps and large stones beforehand.

What we do

  • Field inspection and agreement on the area to be ploughed
  • Tractor and plough set to the working depth needed
  • Ploughing of the field in an agreed pattern
  • Headland and corner finishing
  • Record of acreage covered
  • Advice on harrowing or follow-up operations

What we need from you to quote

  • Location of the farm and the number of acres to be ploughed
  • Crop to be planted and the desired ploughing depth
  • Soil type, for example sandy, loam or heavy clay
  • Whether the field has stumps, stones, termite mounds or heavy weed cover
  • Preferred dates in relation to the rainy season
  • Access route for the tractor
